Once again the Pirates were too strong in the OIGCC social T20 match making it 4 straight for the franchise.
The Mavericks won the toss & chose to bat, but they were quickly on the back foot after early wickets from Boreham & Dhundara. Wiley veteran Stavropoulos got the innings moving along with some extravagant stroke-play, but after he was caught on the boundary for 45 it was left to captain Moncrieff & debutant Jack to pick up the pieces & scrap their way to a somber 108.
The Pirates were always in control with a quick-fire 45* from Mick Ryan & a calculated partnership between Rasdale & Pearce seeing them chase the target with more than 5 overs to spare.
All in all another terrific day was had on & off the field, it was pleasing to see so much support from the sidelines so thanks to those that made it down.
