It was a treat for those who attended the club on Saturday night as our Hindu members shared a special celebration of Diwali, teaching us about what it was that we were celebrating & a little bit more about their culture.

Everybody enjoyed the Indian cuisine on offer & the traditional Diwali sweets were especially well received.

A highlight for those that were in attendance was the releasing of the sky lanterns on Chelsworth Park, with 30 lanterns lighting up the night sky in a beautiful display.

Not even the clubrooms alarm system going off mid celebration could dampen the positive vibe of the evening.

Thanks to those who put in the effort to pull the night together & also to those who joined in to make it a special experience for everybody.

It would appear that club members are keen to make this a regular on our social calendar in future.
