In what was a hotly contested affair but played in great spirits I believe both sides took plenty away from this season’s practice match between OIGCC & GCC.

The 35 over a side match was played at Chelsworth Park on Saturday September 19. Gowanbrae Panthers batted first & were dismissed on the last ball of their innings for 147. Marty Bourke took 3 wickets for the OIGCC & the innings also featured 4 run-outs. At 3/58 in the run chase it appeared we had a match on our hands, however a strong partnership from Amarpal & Pearce steered the OIGCC home to win by 7 wickets with 9 overs to spare.

Both sides then enjoyed a BBQ & a few drinks on the deck & it would appear this may just become a yearly match up!
